The Madrid Economic Forum, the largest economic event in Spain's history, was held in Madrid on June 7 and 8 with an ambitious and international format, with 7,500 attendees and more than 15 speakers. Co-organized by Abast and Racks, and following two successful editions of the Andorra Economic Forum, Abast and Racks, Andorran companies decided last December to take a leap forward and extend this format outside the Principality. After months of preparation, this event on economics and business has been held.
The first edition of the Madrid Economic Forum was structured around Spain's main issues (housing, security, taxation, difficulties facing entrepreneurship, etc.) and focused, through presentations, interviews, and panel discussions, on possible alternative models, highlighting individual freedoms and private property rights. This event featured speakers such as Juan Ramón Rallo, Miguel Anxo Bastos, Daniel Lacalle, Marcos de Quinto, and Espinosa de los Monteros, among others. It also featured international speakers such as Agustín Laje and Alex Bruesewitz, communications advisor to Donald Trump.
To round off the event, Argentine President Javier Milei closed the event with his keynote address, in which he outlined the successes his country has achieved in recent months thanks to various economic measures and the fundamental role of freedom in a nation's prosperity.
The Madrid Economic Forum has received extensive media coverage in major Spanish media outlets, as well as in prominent international publications. Already established as a forum on economics and business, the organizers have confirmed a new edition for 2026. "The event was incredibly well-received, and we felt the support of the thousands of attendees, speakers, and sponsors. It was an honor for us to organize the Madrid Economic Forum, and we want it to be a long-term project.", explains Helena de Torres, coordinator and partner of the project.
After this first edition and with their sights set on the 2026 event, Abast and Racks are now focusing on the third edition of the Andorra Economic Forum, which will be held on October 3, 4, and 5 in the Andorran capital. With all tickets sold out, the Andorran format prioritizes networking, the reduced event format (with a thousand attendees), and the business experience in the Principality.
