  • The international meeting on economics and business, organized by the Andorran companies Abast and Racks, once again filled the Andorra la Vella Congress Center.

  • This edition addressed new topics, such as the impact of artificial intelligence on entrepreneurship, the digital economy, nuclear energy, and geopolitics.

  • The organizers offer a very positive assessment of this edition, which has had a direct economic impact on the country of more than half a million euros.

This weekend, the third edition of the Andorra Economic Forum (AEF) was held, an international meeting on economics and business that brought together nearly a thousand attendees, mostly from abroad, at the Andorran Congress Center. Organized by the Andorran companies Abast and Racks, specializing in tax advice and artificial intelligence consulting, respectively, it is already an established event in the country, generating a direct economic impact of over €500,000, with the hospitality and catering sectors being the most benefited.

This year's edition featured international leaders in the economic field, such as professors Miguel Anxo Bastos and María Blanco, as well as prominent figures in entrepreneurship and business. The program included lectures by Marcos de Quinto, former global vice president of The Coca-Cola Company; Catalan businesswoman Marta Marcilla, a pioneer in the real estate sector in the United States and the Caribbean; and Sergi Benet, co-founder of the sunglasses startup Meller, which recently sold most of its capital for €40 million.

“It's a pleasure for us to bring international experts like those we enjoyed at this third edition to the country. The content of the talks is designed to provide attendees with valuable information, both based on the speakers' professional experience and their perspective on current trends.", explains Helena de Torres, coordinator of the event.

This year, the organizers have expanded the forum's usual topics—traditionally focused on economics and entrepreneurship—to also include artificial intelligence, nuclear energy, personal finance, and geopolitics. Furthermore, it was the most female-focused edition held so far, both in terms of the number of female speakers and the overall female participation, which represented more than a third of the total attendees.

Beyond the conferences, debates, and roundtables, a distinctive feature of the event is its commitment to networking among participants. The program, designed to foster personal and business connections, included three dedicated networking breaks, where hundreds of attendees could socialize and meet other professionals with similar profiles.

The event, inaugurated by the Consul General of Andorra la Vella, was supported by national companies such as Morabanc (main sponsor) and other sponsors such as the technology company Cluster Videologic, the real estate company Andorra Sotheby's, and Propifi Bonds.

The Andorra Economic Forum (AEF), which aims to continue its growth in the country, is being held just a few months after the Madrid Economic Forum, organized by the same companies and which brought together more than 7,500 people last June at the Vistalegre Palace in Madrid. The second edition of this Madrid-based event, which has already announced its first speakers, will be held on Saturday, March 14th at the same venue.
