Abast professionals donate €1,380 to the GOSSOS association

The professional team at Abast Group, a leading tax advisory firm in Andorra, has donated €1,380 to the Andorran association GOSSOS, which currently manages the national dog pound, to cover essential veterinary expenses. The funds raised will be used to spay and neuter approximately five to seven dogs, facilitating their first step towards finding new homes. The fact that the animals cannot reproduce is a prerequisite for a family to adopt a dog from the pound, thus breaking the cycle of abandonment; however, this is a costly veterinary procedure for which GOSSOS needs additional resources.

Leveraging its knowledge of the Principality's tax advantages, and specifically the current incentives for patronage and donations, this year marks the second fundraising campaign organized by Abast for a local charity. Under the current incentives, salaried individuals with gross annual incomes exceeding €28,500 can donate up to €100 to a local charity and deduct 90% of their donation from their next income tax return. Therefore, in this instance, GOSSOS will receive €100 from each participating professional, at an actual cost of just €10 per person.
