Deputy CTO (Developer)

Abast Group is looking for a developer to serve as Deputy Chief Technology Officer, under the direction of the Group CTO. The role is focused on the company’s IT support and innovation.

Main responsibilities

• Maintenance and support of IT equipment

• Handling and resolving issues raised by internal users.

• Basic/intermediate administration of the Microsoft 365 environment

• Support for tools such as Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and corporate applications

• Basic configuration of networks, VPNs, remote access and shared resources

• Support in security tasks, backups, access control and internal best practices

• Documentation of technical procedures and recurring incidents

• Development and process automation

• Participation in the development and maintenance of internal applications

• Support in projects with Laravel, Python and JavaScript

• Creation of small tools, dashboards, forms, integrations or internal automations

• Integration with third-party APIs

• Collaboration on digitalisation projects, document automation, OCR, AI and data management

• Maintenance and improvement of existing applications

Requirements

• Systems technician

• 2-3 years of experience

• Experience in technical user support

• Knowledge of basic Windows systems administration

• Knowledge of Microsoft 365: Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, user management, permissions and licences

• Basic knowledge of networks: IP, DNS, VPN, network printers and shared resources

• Knowledge of web development: PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• Ability to document processes and work in an organised manner

• Good communication with non-technical users

• Autonomy, technical judgement and a proactive, solution-oriented attitude
